I just noticed this, maybe it just started or more than likely been there all along, but why is there an ad on the left of the screen for the chevy silverado naming it motortrend's truck of the year on a ford forum? I understand sponsorship is important to stay up and running, but really guys?
I imagine it wouldnt be legal to deny chevy advertising on this sight, and think about it, here are countless pages of people discussing all the problems with their fords. What better place to advertise!!
It's all the advertising, don't recall if it is Yahoo or Google, but anyway, FTE does not have control over this. Many people comment, few seem to understand that what comes up in the side panes is not controlled by FTE... Don't want to see it? Become a supporter, then you also have access to the Club FTE discussions. Otherwise, ignore it and move on, nothing to see here...
All this subliminal advertising talk got me thinking... maybe thats why I have a toyota, chevy, a tuner for a 6.0 PSD (I dont have a 6.0), a high flow exhaust for an Excursion, (again, no excursion in the driveway), some bushwacker fender flares are on the way (going on the wall in the garage I guess). I was going to call AARP today... I'm 40! I think they got me!

What problems? Ford pickups don't have "problems".
They have CHARACTER!
Most of us come here to discuss the most recent cute little characteristic our Ford P/U has just developed.
That's just wrong....
Of course, many years back I worked for the county, and all the dump trucks were chevies, with a cat engine/allison auto. The one I was assigned ended up with a ford badge wired over the bowtie in the grill......
