Why don't want to pull intake its not that hard i just did mine
About how much time?? Im pretty good with a set of wrenches and have quite a bit gasser exp. not really none with a diesel. I know im just pulling the intake but MURPHY'S LAW!LOL!!!
not a big deal , about 10 hours for me, but i also upgraded the turbo oil drain pipe, cleaned the vanes on the turbo and replaced the oil psi. sending unit all at the same time. i also anodized the alum. intake manifold since i had it out. coul have been a 5-6 hour if not for the extras. AND what an improvement in throttle response, and lower egt's while pulling. well worth the elimination
Is there a delete kit that doesn't involve removing the intake??
It's not completely removing the intake, more like loosening the intake. The RCD kit has instructions on how to do it without complete removal and their kit is nice. You're still going to have to pull the turbo though.
Just spent $1300 at FORD dealership, EGR went bad. I guess I should of read this forurm more often! Well I'm ready to delete the EGR. Did a lot of reading but wanted to ask if anyone has anyone used this kit? EGR Delete Kit | Ford 6.0 Liter EGR Delete

same basic kit I used. dont use the suppled blue hose and clamps. use the oem connector.
also dint waste the time with the egr valve block off plate.
Take a sawzall or body saw and cut the rear EGR cooer mount off the intake....That will make things easier. No turbo removal Just kidding, but the thought has crossed my mind lol

After you installed the kit, did it throw a code? If so, did you get a tuner for it to by pass the code...(if so) what kind did you buy? Thanks for the help, just want to do it right the first time!

No need unbolt the intake lift it up. remove the y-pipe and slide it out.
personaly I would rather pull an intake then fight the y-pipe method. besides. that wont get you to the oil cooler to rebuild it.

No I meant to get the EGR cooler and intake out without removing the turbo. Only removing the intake. But then again, you prolly know tricks that I dont
