What size tires with coil spacers?
Hey guys
I'm about to lift my 03 Eddie Bauer 4x4
With the 3" spacer for the front, and 2" for the back.
I've heard people say that you can clear 35's.
I found a good deal on some 325/65-18's that I think would fit on my fx4 rims.
These are a little wide I think, so will they fit under the truck, or should I just find something else?
Thanks

I've got the 3/2 lift on my 04 Eddie Bower with 33's and plenty of clearance. I could definitely go larger. I think I read some where that the 35's will rub on the running boards when I was looking to do mine. I know I saw a picture of one with 35's and the owner had taken the running boards off of it and I believe that was the reason. Might be able to trim them though. I'm sure someone will chime in with a definitive answer.

325 is 12.8 inches wide. Keep this in mind, that 12.8 is usually a section width, not the actual tread width. Some manufacturer's actual tire measurements vary from the stated size. Tirerack is a good place to get specs on tires.
I'm sure the tire will fit with the lift, but you'll probably need to find a competent tire shop that can help determine proper backspacing for your wheels. Too much or too little and the tire is swinging into the fender or suspension parts, gotta find that happy medium.

No. You won't find a tire that wide designed to fit a stock width rim, usually 7 inches. If you mount a tire on a rim that is too narrow, the tire will crown and quickly wear out the center of the tread. I'm running 285's on stock rims because they're the widest i could find to fit a stock rim. To run a 325, I'll bet you'll need 10 inch wide rims, maybe 8 depending on the tire.

Go to Tirerack.com and plug in 325/65R18. There's 8 tires that show up in the range. They ALL have different specs: section width, tread width, diameter, etc. ALL of them mount on a minimum rim width of 9 inches. Do the same thing for 35x12.50R18 and you'll see the same thing, different specs. I'd say 325/65R18 is pretty close to 35x12.50 if you want to call it that. Again, I think they'll fit, you'll just need a set of rims with proper backspacing. Unfortunately, that usually means you'll have to buy rims new. There's real good deals on used rims out there, but finding a set you like in your size and bolt pattern with the proper backspacing is a slim chance.
