You guys are gonna hate me.. the truck in my sig get 12-13mpg city and nearly 18mpg hwy cruise locked at 70mph.

I'm with hog86.My truck is the exact same way.So I guess I'll have fun with it when I drive it.

Never got above mid 12's on any 351 I had.

You've got 2.73 gears on a 351? That's got to be a unique combination. I've never personally seen one...I know they put that gear on the 300 I6 but didn't know they put it on the V8.

FWIW, I'm not saying I don't believe you. It just blows my mind why Ford ever put the 2.73 gear on a truck period.

1995 F250 5.8L Auto w/ OD

Clogged Cat right now, so about 7 mpg around town, and 9 Highway =(

1993 4x4 auto 10 mpg all day long whether pulling a load or loafing down the highway. It is my nicest truck, unfortunately, because of the mileage, the one I drive the least.

My 1990 F250 with 5.8 and 5 speed zf, with a new engine not really broke in gets about 14 mpg city and 16.2 mpg highway, I was kind of suprised to be honest. not sure what gears I have but I spin 2000 rpm at 65 mph, about 2200 at 70 mph, so maybe a 3:73? dunno. I have true duals with flowmasters is the only performance upgrade i have!
