Its the electric, and it will pop in and out, Its very unpredictable it usaly gos in and out under stress, but last time i was in the snow it stayed out but then late went back into 4x4
I still think its the transfer case motor that lock the transfer case in. It may not be strong enough to lock it in all the way, and as soon as you put a load on it, it kicks it out..
Sorry i forgot about this page,, There auto hubs, and i found that one was broken so that explains why i had NO 4x4, but im still getting the popping and it going in and out of 4x4, Its like im moving POP no 4x the then POP again 4x works,, and it dos it lees in low range,, And when i put the truck up in the air in 4x4 and turned the front wheel everything was moving untell i hit on point were the front axle was moving but the back wheels were not, then as i turned it more it locked back up and everthing moved again untell i hit that spot, Do you think it could be the Yoke or the trans case, or what else
In my case I assumed the transfer case before looking very carefully at the auto lock hubs! After I switched out the t-case with a used one I took my old t-case apart and there was no apparent reason that something was wrong with it? At first there was no more snapping and popping so I thought the problem was solved! It wasn't until I put the 4x4 under heavy use that the popping and snapping came back? This time I looked very carefully at the hubs where I discovered the problem and went to manual Warn lockers; no more problems even under heavy 4x4 use! Beyond this level of discovery I couldn't guess at what other problems could exist?
Alright thanks, becasue i put it on a lift and everything was spining BUT the wheels, so yeah i think ill get some used manual hubs with a conversion kit
