I have A 1996 f-250 and the bearings went out on my steering column, i went to change out the bearings and the steering shaft has too much damage so i have to change out the whole column. my problem is that i cant find one to my specific year of truck.
Is there any other steering columns out of other ford vehicles the are compatable with my truck? (1996 f-250 tilt no air bag)

 

92-96(97 f250-f350) f-series columns should all be about the same. You can also check full size broncos... Any truck with the same front end will have a steering column that should work. It's just a matter of finding one with the options you already have...

 

What about vans, explores and stangs? When i bought the bearing kit for my truck it was compatble to alot of different vehicles. i know that ford likes to use the same parts for different cars.

 

I don't think the mustangs and explorers are compatable... the bigger econline vans of the same era might be...
