95 f-250,5.8 4x4 codes 122 327 koeo and a 998 when the engine is running I tested the tps with the ohm meter and find no prob untill i try to find voltage .... maybe about a .5 to 1 volt is all. Is it the PCM?
The TPS output signal should be between 0.6 - 1.0 VDC with the throttle closed. VREF is a +5VDC signal that comes from the PCM as a supply to several sensors. Your code 327 also indicates a low output signal. It uses the same VREF. Verify VREF is in the +5 VDC range, then start troubleshooting from there.
ford garage told me crank senser..but gave me a part for a deisel, have to wait till morning. tested all wires for a short but found none. I will repost in am
There are a few who refer to the stator (aka PIP) inside the distributor as a "crank sensor". In a round about way it does serve that function.
OBD-II equipped trucks, Bronco/F-150, of this vintage do have a crank sensor mounted near the timing tab for this purpose. The balancer has a tone ring attached to act as the trigger.
I went for bust and went to my local ford dealer to have a chat....first code was tps. second said it was DPFE senser! bought it to put one on only to find the truck does not have one from factory????? what is up with that Ford motors? now I cracked and told them to tell me whats up! at the cost of 165.00 dollars they say they connot explain why and that the PCM is toast. Stuck in Back up mode, Then they tell me that they cannot repair it on account the PCM is no longer available. I did manage to get a new # for the PCM..F6PZ-12A650-EKA. If that will help me now. bone yards or remans. Thanks for the response and I will keep ya posted

Reason: spelling
Just checked it at Auto Zone (for sake of making it easy) and they have the part for 199.99 with a 3mo warranty. So, its available although not a Ford unit, I used one of their computers in my 87 F-150 when the computer was toast and it worked fine.
I used my zip code considering I have a store right in front of my place but price cant change too dramatically right? And it needs to be shipped in anyhow so it shouldnt be a problem if you go that route.
By the way to let ya all know the truck is a 96 not 95 but I check my codes the old way Under the hood not under the dash. All the pic we found show the DPFE mounts in front of the throttle body .. has a wire plug in from pcm and heat exchange line coming from the heat rizer tube to the egr valve.. Of which I Have none. and shows no sign of ever having one! I would Imagine that the pcm would have to be programed to not accept one
If it wernt for breakdowns I would not have a job so not complaining either way ...my womans saturn is the one that boost my goose but maybe just because she always is complaining bout it. I will check at AZ's but with the old # I had we could not find one. will try the new one in am but I have a buddy with a bone yard He told me to come out to see if he had a match. I have heard that It is uncommon for the pcm to fail so I have high hopes... It made me think I had lost my touch on electronics to not get any readings when I Thought I knew what i was doing
Your truck uses most likely uses an EVP sensor for the EGR
ignore the '93 reference
Not DPFE (MAF equipped trucks)
You should find a better Ford dealer. Before searching out a new PCM verify if the VREF voltage is correct. VREF is also used for the MAP sensor, if it is out of range you would think you would also get MAP related codes as well.
code 327 could be EVP voltage to low to test Why would I have a 93 model assembly? I sometimes saw the needle jump to .5 volts but never above that pretty well flat lined If I set the ohm meter on it I would see a fluctuation of 4 to 6 every now and then with the key on and waited about 2 minutes but no voltage to speak of. that is why I assumed PCM so I had gordie bouchet check and they said the same about no voltage to measure
