CERVINI'S RAM AIR HOOD

So i am thinking of things i would like to add to my truck. So far i changed the rims from stock 2008's to stock 2005 lariats 5 spoke. Changed the tires to good year duratracs-keeping the factory size because I tow a 5th wheel camper. Changed the air dam to a job 2 type, and added the aries bull bar. I will add lights to the bull bar at some point as well as grille inserts. I would like to get your opinion on the cervini's ram air hood. https://www.cervinis.com/product.asp...1&id=1213#1189

I think it looks pretty tough compared to some others i have seen. What do you all think?

Well, not to throw a wrench into this operation, LOL...BUT... I actually prefer the cowl induction look myself, different strokes for different folks they say. One thing I really like is those grille inserts, but I don't know what they would look like on my painted front end. I think no matter which one you choose, you'll have a pretty tough looking truck.

The second one is sweeet!! That would look really nice. I to wonder what the grill inserts would look like with the painted front like I have as I do not have the chrome package on mine.

Since there isn't much functionality with the Ram Air due to the air intakes coming from the passenger side fender well, I'd prefer the Cowl Hood. It's fits the overall profile of the truck better. Just my personal opinion.

I agree too... I never thought of my truck as looking or had anyone say my truck looked "Ghetto" but I guess everyone has an opinion!

I actually wanted the Ram Air but I Beach Camp and those nostrils would have really been suckin' sand... that's why I went with the cowl!

There is no real functionality with either hood. But I love the look of this ram air hood versus other companies hoods. And everyone has the MACH 1 style ram air hood...cervini's does make a ram air kit for the 2003-2007 6.0L though ( 1999-07 F-250/ F-350 Cervinis Super Duty Ram Air Hood Intake Kit Type IV )

True. I usually think "functionality" first when it comes to mods/accessories. If they made a ram-air kit, I'd prob choose the ram-air hood. But for sheer appearance, I like the Cowl.

I like the cowl hood better. But the ram air isnt bad, I just prefer the cowl.

I heard once that you shouldnt use a fiberglass hood on a diesel due to the vibration. Anyone else heard that or have an experience to share?

Ok so maybe I didnt specify enough....I already know I don't want a cowl hood....But I am comparing the Cervini's RAM AIR hood with other Ram air hoods made by other companies.......I was also thinking it might look kinda cool to add a couple amber LED light bars that have different light patterns...much like the lights in the scoop on the Shelby Mustang KITT from the new KNIGHT RIDER
