Next time I trim my beard I'll send you the trimmings, color is about white enough. Get an 8 track and I'll send you some Waylon Jennings tapes

Only the F350 Camper Special had the extended wheel base to 140 inches and the spare tire on the side. The F250s had a small tool box. Also, not all extended wheel base trucks were camper specials. My f350 is just a custom with the 140inch wheel base option, its not a camper or trailer special.

Impossible!
The only F350's available on the 140" wheelbase were Regular Cab: Super Camper Special's (1973/76); Trailer Special's (1973/79); Camper Special's (Ford dropped "Super" after 1976).

The emblem(s) are missing, so you'll have to get a Marti Report to determine which of the above it is (martiauto.com).

2) D7TZ-16720-AD .. Camper Special Emblem-located on R/L cowl panels (1977/79).

1) D6UZ-1142528-A .. Trailer Special Emblem-Located on Tailgate (1977/79).

* The tool compartment (box) was an option for all 1973/79 F100/350 Stylesides, except F350's on the 140" wheelbase.

Fordification has a full vin decoder, I would put a link but I dont know how a link to a different site would look.

It will tell you just about everything on your f100.

There is no code within the VIN or stamped on the Warranty Plate that defines a Camper Special.

If you'll look on the 1st page at my 1st group of photos, the one with all the paperwork, I have the build sheet. Beyond that I don't care about any other info. It wasn't anyone thats famous.

If it's not too much trouble, could you show a close-up of your window sticker-type order sheet? I love seeing the original equipment trucks were ordered with.

So messing around a bit today, got the ground cable mounted and I noticed this wire off the alternator plug lying with the end bare not connected to anything. Where does it go?

Also wondering where the brake booster hose goes, to the carb baseplate?

There is a vacuum tree on the other side of the carb (passenger side of the engine)
