Worst Day for my Truck EVER....

Worst Day for my Truck EVER....
So I noticed the fuel pressure dropping a bit more than it should lately, so I figured I'd put in a new filter after getting back from shooting on a friend's ranch about about 90 mins away. Well, after getting nearly there, my pressure (post filter) was dropping below 20 psi. Not good. Found an O'Reilly Auto Parts and picked up a new filter ($29.95, with new, separate cap). Upon opening the hood to change the filter in the parking lot, I notice some kind of liquid sprayed all over the front passenger side of the engine. Turns out my compressor decided to toss its cookies. Great...... Didn't change the pre-filter yet -- figured I'd get that done once I got home. Bad idea.
On the way back, truck starts REALLY limping, fuel pressure was dropping below 20, then nothing at all showing on the gauge. Limped into a Shell station, popped the hood to check for leaks and inspected the pre-pump filter a little closer this time. No leaks, but pre-pump filter was pretty nasty. Was about to change that out when my buddy that was with me asked what all the liquid was under the truck. I said it was left over from me draining the filter housing a little and the compressor oil. He said, "uhh, it's still dripping and making a puddle. I look up (I'm under the truck about to attach the pre-filter), see a nice puddle and a pretty nice drip, and say "$%@#($R^@(^@(^$&$%@@!" ....
Climb back out from underneath and move around to up front.... No coolant in the de-gas bottle. "%&^@(@($&^%^@#$%%^@*!" ........
So in the course of one or two days, I got bad fuel, lost my AC compressor, and water pump.

Yup. Came home, cleaned guns, had a 'rita, and grilled some steaks. Feel better now. Next is to attack the broke-@$$ truck.......tomorrow.
EDIT: Oh, and I left out the parts where I ripped my jeans open, then my boss calling wanting me to start working.....

Concurred! It sucks but ultimately its just bad timing for some R&R on the ol truck. I can always refer you to my engine swap thread if it would make you feel better.

Joe, there are days like that. Let's hope that that was the worst day of the year for you rather than a good one. That way it only gets better. Waiting for you to find out what was the cause of each problem.
Alex, your writeup about your engine swap was great but I think it is one of those "you had to be there" events to really appreciate what you went through.
