Good morning all!! Had a productive weekend...no work on the truck because I finally got all its issues fixed...finished staining and varnishing the wine rack I built for my wife for our anniversary...fixed the washing machine...fixed the pantry doors...cleaned out the garage...had to come to work to rest up from the weekend! Everybody have a good day and a better week!!!

 

Nothing quite as satisfying as crossing items off the honey-do list....

 

Except when I finish one list she makes another one!

Hahaha, yeah, I know! When I retired from active duty I thought life was gonna get simpler and slower...what in the world was I thinkin?

Any of you guys remember the Challenger diaster that happened 25 years ago?
I do, I was working in the bodyshop at the Ford dealership in Raymond MS, we were in the showroom watching the lift off, all of a sudden the thing blew up! What a terrible sight. I'll always remember that.

 

I remember it well. I was working at the Reserve center in West Jackson at the time. Our Chaplan pastored a Church just down the street and we all went down for a Prayer Service. Harley

 

I was a senior in high school, sitting in math class when the announcement was made over the PA. One of our teachers, Mrs. Creel, had been selected as one of I think 6 alternates NASA had picked. She was at the Cape to watch the lift-off. I can't imagine what went through her mind when she realized that could have been her up there.

 

Just a rainy Sunday! can't complain though, yesterday was beautiful. Have a good one.
