Drove a tacomo today

all I can say is the tacoma is junk compaired to my 2011 ranger! The tacoma has a lot of road noise, noisy engine, sloppy steering, and all though the tacoma is rated at more power, I didnt see any difference between it and the ranger. Yeah i would spend 10 grand more to have one ....NOT!
Glad I bought the Ranger just my 2 cents,
Regards,
Dewking

If a toy tech isnt crazy about them and notes a headache in a repair...what more needs to be said...Ford wins again...

true us toyota techs make decent pay with all the maintnance, recalls and repairs, but keep in mind we're paid on flat rate. so if a job calls for 3.0hrs and it takes me 4.0hrs i only get paid for the 3.0hrs and the 1.0hr is on my time, so thats 1hr of my time wasted when i could have started another job, only because toyota is so "obsessed" with makin their vehicles tamper proof to customers, it makes it tougher on us techs. However the camerys are pretty simple.

I agree . if you subtract $22,500 from $33,450 you do get $10,950.........that being said if there is anyone that would like a similar built tacoma over a similar built Ranger...... I would be glad to help you get one for close to the same price...and no I am not a dealer.....and yes I like my ranger and other Rangers.....I am just trying to throw a little logic into the thread.....

I agree with OP. Tacoma's are ****. They lack durability and torque. They aren't worth the problem they're known for and are better off being made into either fords or subarus. Toyota does a horrid job of build "light duty" trucks. That's all there is to it. That is, however, not to say that the Tundra is bad truck, but Ford's full-size is just better. Ford is unbeatable in full-size trucks, always have been, and I believe that the only real threat to them is either the Tundra or the Ram (yuck, I'm NOT a fan of mopar though). This is the truth, I apologize if I hurt someone's feelers.

On the Ranger verse Tacoma debate......Base solely on the Principle of Economics..ie. Supply and Demand your observation does not hold water.

this does not mean that the majority of people are correct. the Majority of people voted for Obama and I think he is a Socialist, country ruining, ungrateful dope..........but I am in the minority
