35' would warrant a give away of about 10'

Awesome picts Jason. We lost most of what little we had this past weekend. I did finally get my 4 miles of feeder trails open so when we do get snow and I get my sled going then I can ride.

They were predicting alot of snow this winter, but so far are below average.
Sounds like you are too

Didn't you guys get stiffed on snow during the Olympics, and had to make a lot artificially?

We have not had a good snowstorm since 08'...........little here, little there........gone by afternoon.

I sure hope so, it is getting kinda hard to find accessible untracked snow out there right now.

Alot of our riding area is too hard to get too right now because of trees that are still sticking out of the snow.

I think they did ok with the snow. I know they were pretty worried about the lack of the stuff. They did make as much as they could as well I think. I know they were trucking in snow from surrounding areas.

That was coastal BC that got stiffed for snow. Inland, and along ways North, we got above average snow early in the year followed by well below averge midseason snowfall and above average late season.

Smithers is about 400miles north of the Vancouver Olympic sites

We allegedly have 110% of normal snow pack in the central Cascades right now, for me that means some high lakes are not accessible until July, and the mosquitoes will eat you alive.

Ya it means about the same here. Late June or July till the river comes down. It is good to have though cause it brings the fire risk down some.

Ussually I don't get the horses into the backcountry until sometime in July. Gotta wait for the snopack to melt and for the creeks go down.

One time I tried to get into Silverking Basin a little too early and my horse and I nearly got swept away by one of the creeks
