But i'd love to see some dyno numbers, just the other day my buddy test drove an equivalent body 2008 5.4L with 30K on the clock and my truck dusted it in our hillbilly drag race... and mines just a little 2 valver with K&N air filter, cat delete, and gibson super truck exhaust. Oh yeah, and 140K more miles than the 08 as well =]

I unplugged my O2 sensor and installed a barbed fitting to measure backpressure from the stock cat...99SD so single "trash can style" cat. No back pressure at idle or low rpm, 2lbs backpressure around 2k rpm climbing to 3 WOT and higher rpm. On the highway when running 2K rpm, It seems you have to overcome the backpressue before you get acceleration.
I want to know the effect of this also, going to 2 cats (off each manifold) would cut the backpressue in half....and be 100% legal. But is it worth the effort?

I just did jba headers on my 5.4 all i noticed was a bit better fuel mileage even on winter fuel blend (Canadian resident) and a tad bit of bottom end ( 5th locked up at 80km can clime easily to 100km with out shifting). I've been looking into the sct programmers and possible outsourced custom tunes, not a whole lot of set in stone dyno reports on the web, so ive been very hesitant (be it that im 20 and can barley afford this truck) i want to put my money where it counts. i hope someone takes you up on this offer!

Agreed. I beat my buddies 05 f150 5.4 every time we race. His truck is gutless and responds slow. Every time he drives my truck he always takes off really hard when he first starts driving until he gets used to it.
