swapping 460 from car to e350

Hi there i want to know if a 1978 460 from a lincoln will fit into my e350 motorhome 1981. My motorhome has a worn out 460 in it now, just wondering if there is any differance between the car to van chassis or will it bolt up in there.Any advice or info would be appreciated thanks.

might have to swap pans as I think the vans used a rear sump and the car used a front sump.

You will also have to swap out the oil pump if you do, so I would just buy new oil pump (cheap insurance since you have it apart anyway)

also keep the flexplate from teh car since it's an internal balanced and the van would be external balanced (it will still work just fine you just MUST keep the flexplate with the proper engine)

Accessory brackets might or might not be the same, use the ones from the van.

Exhaust manfiolds will have ot come from the van also obviously.

thats pretty much all I can think of that will give you issues. The base motor will bolt in.
