Rear End Question

Just bought a 2003 V10 Limited and wanted to find out what rear end it has. Could anyone tell me how and can find that? Thanks.

Look at your door sticker and it should have an axle code. C3 is 4.30 and C1 is 3.73.

There is also another code to denote if you have limited slip or not. I can't find the reference right now but hopefully someone else here has the link handy. You can also visit your local Ford dealer parts guy with the VIN and they will be able to tell you, if they're nice parts guys.

The C denotes limited slip.

If you have a 31 it would be a non-limited slip 3.73

I'm not sure if Ford ever shipped a 33 in an Ex but it would be a non-limited slip 4.30 but after I changed my gears that is what I now have!
