hey guys im looking to get some new tread for my stock 04 f150 fx4 but im not sure what im needing. i want to get some bigger tires than my current 275/75/r18's and get my truck leveled off to get rid of the snowplow look. getting this done soon so any info on tire size and choice and what i can expect out of the level kit would be great!
if you want big tires you have to get wheels, its not bad because you can get them together and save money. i got mine from discounttiredirect.com and got free mounting, balance, shipping, and lug nuts, 315/70/17 hankooks, 17x8.5 wheels for $1300
You can put 295/70's on the stock rim which are basically 35" tires. Yes you can get wheels with tires for some good prices but you don't have too just because you want to go bigger.
true but in my case i wanted 33x12.50x17 and ended up with 35x12.50x17 but they would not come close to fitting my stock wheels and now i have a second set of wheels and tires if i need them.
Now that is true if you want the 12.5" wide tires then yes you do need new wheels to go with them. The bulging will be too much for the stock rim and look like crap.

hell yeah!!! cant wait to see some pics. keep in mind if you look at your front bumper you will see the plastic trim across the bottom, you may have to trim it alittle to clear the 325's but a buddy i have is running that tire size and it is very tight to the rear of the front wheel well but clears and looks killer.
