1999-2001 GEM (Generic Electronic Module) controls ESOF.

2002-2003 4WD Module comtrols ESOF.

The 2002-2003 have a VSM (Vehicle Security Module) instead of a GEM so a 4WD module is used.

Roger that! Thank you for that confirmation of the change from GEM to VSM beginning with the 2002 MYs.
