So just got ourselves a new ranch truck

So we broke down and bought my dad a new ranch truck for 1500 today. Merry Christmas dad! A 1966 f100 custom cab. It made the 30 mile drive home on the freeway so i figured that was a good start. Thats probably the fastest it will ever go again. Its guna be our wood and hay hailer. Tired of making 30 trips with the ATV. Haha. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what we got? Ive been looking around to see if i can decipher the warranty plate myself but it seems like you all can get it done a lot better and a lot faster than me.

F11YR789607 is the vin

and the warranty plate

129 8 F110 D81 A 08
05600 172 4000 No numbers under DSO?

Also my dad and i were talking and were wondering if limited slip was an option in 1966? Did we get something special? We know we love the truck we just wanted to know a little bit more about it.
Thanks for any and all help
Happy Holidays!

Hi there Ranchtruck, welcome to FTE. How cool is it that you bought that 66 for farm work!
I too have a 66, an F250, and I use it for all kinds of stuff. These old trucks were built to work...congratulations
on being a new "slick" owner. Look forward to seeing pics too. Feel free to ask away when you have any questions,
there are a ton of cool guys here who really know their stuff. Where in California are you?
Best,
Jason

Thanks for the warm greetings guys. we are in sacramento but the truck is going to stay in mariposa. one hell of a truck to drive in this rain we have been getting but its awesome to have something that is rusted and dented turn heads like this truck does. is your f250 a work horse too?

Sure is...I was using it to haul stumps out of the ground the other day.The ground was too hard to mess around with digging, so I hooked up a chain to them and voila.

ya i think i will just let the stumps stay and bring up the rest of the cut up wood haha. we have an 84 f150 and an 87 c10 but the rats got to those and chewed up all wiring and this truck was too much of a steal to pass up so i guess i am going to have to work on those projects soon.

Rear limited slip was an option. Look at the tag on the diff itself if its still there.
