cover

This is my first chicago winter with a diesel should I have a cover over my grill I see half the trucks do than the others don't.

I've been told that it isn't necessary, I've also been told (by a chevy guy) that having the cover on helps keep the fuel mileage up...... lol sorry that I can't be more help.
If it makes any difference I don't use one.

My gas mileage sucks ever since it has gotten cold but thanks for the info

Maybe a cover will help you then, I should probably get one too, my mileage goes down enough to justify one.

Do they have winter blend fuel where you are at? I know many complain about that when they lose MPG's.

The mileage drops for any diesel running on winter blend - running w/ the grille covered will help some. A warmer engine will consume less fuel and will warm up faster. We had single digit morning temps most days for the last 2 weeks - no grill cover & the temp gauge was stuck in the low end of the normal range. I put my coldfront on and the temps went up so, did the mileage. I usually run a grille cover from Dec to Mar
