Having trouble tuning my 600 single line. It stutters and spits and backfires when i try to start it. It will run for a few seconds but acts flooded. I jetted it down from 66's to 62's. Would it do this with a blown power valve??
The carb is fairly new. Had it on two trail rides and about 10 miles riding the roads. Then is started spitting and sputtering. It started this on the trail. It has backfired a few times. I think the model number is 1850, it is the chrome looking single line.
I hear that about the rain. Its freezing rain here now as I type this. At least it is not snowing. Has the unusual snow fall amounts reached as far south as you? We have had more cold and snow here this year than since I was a kid back in the 60's. Can't get anything done.
We havent had much snow at all but it has rained and rained. We had a couple nights where we had 5 inches of rain in 1 hour. BTW got the carb on and kinda tuned it, it wants to start but ahhh you know how they are. Checked timing, brought it to TDC and checked rotor in dist. dead on, so it hasnt jumped. That doesnt necessarily mean the Mallory is working right. Bought to scrap it for points.
