Also, does your tuner equipment allow you to retrieve & save the factory settings in a file that can be read by the tuner to reset the chip back to stock?
Yes to both questions. My truck was a job 2 so I only needed the software update (some needed the trans solenoids as well). It helped but not enough...

I have the stock tune saved on my pc, as well as a CD and my backup drive so I can return to stock at anytime. Just know that Ford can see that it was updated, risk vs. reward in my opinion

I had two tuners from 5Star and both "Copied" & Stored the factory tune (On the tuner itself) when you put your aftermarket tune on the truck. Then, when you feel the need to return to stock you plug the tuner in and one of your choices is to "Return to Stock"...

Plus 1 to Byram. My 5 Star has an awesome return to stock function.

As far as the dealership denying warranty work, it depends on the dealership. I've been to one place and they basically tossed me out, and another place was more than happy to work with me. Just be prepared to pay...

They do have an economy tune but how much difference in mileage is questionable. You gotta remember you have a 7000+ lb truck(mine weighs 7368lbs with a full tank and no one in it) with the aerodynamics of a barn door you are trying to move.
