I am installing an auxiliary fuel tank in my 1999 F-250 7.3 Powerstroke. Should the aux system be vented or non-vented?
Anyone out there knowledgeable on this?

 

I had an aux fuel tank in my older truck. It was only vented at the cap as it was an old fuel tank from 18 wheeler.

I put a 90 gallon "L" shaped tank in the back of my truck under my tool box. It is only vented at the filler caps (I put one on both ends). I installed a pump to transfer fuel from that tank to my factory front tank. I run off the rear tank, then swap to the front. When the front is low I just pump some fuel in from the aux tank till it's full. I do that till the aux tank is empty then I fill completely up again and do it all over. I also run Stanadyne in each tank.

 

I would like to put a Excursion 44 gal fuel tank on my 250 long bed as an aux fuel tank has any one tried that. I have a shell topper so I can mount my spare in the bed.

 

I would like t add an auxiliary tank to my 2015
F-350 diesel with a “super cab” and a short bed
but Titan only has larger tanks for “crew cabs”.

There is a spare tire located auxiliary tank by Titan but expensive!
