Love this info site! My son and I are build a barn find, and I want to buy a shop manual, not the run of the mill auto parts store version. I would like the body manual too, any suggestions?

The factory shop manuals are published on CD-ROM by Detroit Iron:

I believe you can find places to purchase on the above web site. If you want the original hard copy manuals you'll probably have to check ebay or similar sites.

 

Thanks! I ordered the CD rom! Is there version for body chassi? Is that the parts manual?

 

The parts manual is available from hipoparts. A caveat, there were changes in the parts numbers over time and the parts numbers in that manual may not match the latest part numbers assigned.

The manual you ordered is the shop manual which does have some body info in it. Don't know if it is as much as you are looking for or not.
