I cannot find the fuel test port on the fuel rail of my truck. I found one thread about the '07 where a guy said Ford did away with it. Does the sequential multiport fuel injection system (SFI) not use a test port? If not, how do you test the pump and fuel pressure?

 

i have an 01 so it may not be in the same spot as yours. but mine was on the passenger side top of the fuel rail just behind where the pcv valve hose goes by. (so mine was hidden by the hose) hope it helps i will look around and see if i can locate a diagram of the 06

 

Yes, the top of the fuel rail on the passenger side is where my Chilton book says it is supposed to be. I'm guessing maybe the picture is referring to the sequential electronic fuel injection system for the '99-'04s?

My parts store didn't say that the new fuel gauge I bought wouldn't work, but maybe it doesn't come up on their computer?

 

The actron I have came with an adapter for the Ford fuel ports. I think you would be hard pressed to find a testetthat doesn't have that.

 

I bought an OTC tester with an adapter to fit the shrader valve. I looked again today and could not find the shrader valve/fuel pressure test port. I'm really leaning towards what I read in that post about Ford doing away with it. I'm thinking fuel pressure can be checked with a scan tool?
