Issues in acceleration
Hey guys! I could use some advice on this one before I run to the dealer (I really hate doing that!) My '08 F350 has recently been experiencing abnormal acceleration (based on the 30,000 miles I've had this rig,) and I don't understand why it is happening. At first, I could have my foot halfway down or floored and the RPMs will not change and no acceleration will occur. This can happen either from a stop or at previously relatively constant velocity. After at least four seconds, the RPMs will suddenly rev as if the fuel injection had drastically increased and I will experience very hard acceleration, even if I am only asking for a slight increase in speed. What is happening when it does this? Also, has anyone else experienced this?
All things considered, it just had its 30,000 mile workup and no one mentioned a problem to me. Could this be a computer glitch?
