Yeah I most likely figured that, if you read my other thread on the lifter tick it has I'm gonna drop a mild cam in it once I figure out if it is the lifter.

It is not so much the motors power as it is the gear ratio that you now have. You need to move up to 4:11s to get some decent performance. Good luck with your project, i had one for 20yrs and miss being able to really wheel in the bush.
