They do fit, I know, I have them...Mine is a 2wd, so I had to have a 6 inch lift for them to clear. But yours being a 4wd, you would need a 3-4 inch lift to clear them. Bottom line: they fit, but you need some lift...the largest you can clear without a lift and stock rims are 305/70/16 tires.

I have a 03 limited 4x4, with a 2" lift front and back, and just put a set of Mickey Thompson ATZ plus's 315/75/16 on factory limited rims and fit fine. The rims are 7" wide, but went on easy.I do only have about 1" of clearance from front bumper back to corner of tire and same from rear lower corner of wheel well to rear corner of tire when turning corners. I did have BF Goodrich's on but with the squareness of the corners of the tires the clearance I do have wouldn't be there that I have with the rounded corners of the Mickeys.
If you plan on any off roading-BEWARE. Only my .02.Nunomad

Neil, I added 6 pic's to my 'various' album. ProComp all terrains. Stock rims. A little bailing wire on the inner fender and you're rollin'.

i have an excursion 4x4. i added two leaf springs on the front (about 4" of lift) and three leafs in rear. i mounted 315/75/16 nitto all terrain on the factory wheels. i have never had tire rub while driving even off road. the tires do rub the leaf springs while fully turned. just get in habbit off not turning extreme!

The 315/75R-16 will physically fit on a 7" wide wheel but the "design rim width" for that tire size is an 8.5" wheel. Not many 8.5 inch wheel manufacturers out there so 8.0 is close enough. Not saying it won't work on a 7, just not the ideal situation.

I saw all your individual pics, did the K&N filter, special bumpstops front and rear, dual batteries, and double steering damper do anything special? I like that 56 Ford, I hope that wasn't a for sale sign on it.

I think that's about what mine has too, do it, it will work fine. Mine rub the front leaf springs when turned to full lock either way but it's not too hard to deal with. By the way mine DID clear the front bumper when I had the stock bumper on, just put the Ranch Hand on this week.
