Driving in the Rain & 4x4

This never crossed my mind.
Pavement is still too hard on the differentials in 4x4.
The wheels will be able to slip a little easier when wet but you'll still buck around since the tires do still have good traction.
The traction control system on this truck for wet roads is amazing.
Just use the TCS.

Just curious to know. I know a few people that do in their F150's.
Better traction I guess. I live in a province with lots of steep hills and when it is wet out, the tires tend to spin a fair amount when from a stop on a hill. Even my 2008 F350 did it and it was suggested to me to try the 4x4 in wet weather.
I guess from the reaction, most of you don't, but then again, not sure if you guys live in hill country or in the flat lands.

wont hurt a thing as long as you dont make any sharp turns. i'll do it when i'm taking off from a light trying to get infront of somone. otherwise i'd just spin the back tires. also during the winter theres some times when the main roads are somewhat "wet" with black ice. i just keep it in 4x4 because you never know.

Great point! With the TCS and stability control there isn't as much of a need for 4x4 as there once was. I use it when the roads are snowed over just for the extra grab for acceleration. Not really needed for stability anymore though.
