power steering cooler!
cooler with custom made bracket and little foam strips behind the bracket
so it does not rattle or encounter harmonics of any sort!
i know it is a pileup of heat exchangers in the front of my truck, and
somewhat restrictive
but,
the a/c condensor is not actually touching the radiator, and i am running the
stupor cooling fan shroud.
new saginaw gearbox
fresh pump
all new lines and fluid
bolts are galvanized slight dab of anti seize, bracket is riveted,
core support holes cut with hole saw then rat tail filed and 5/8" grommets,
it was a huge pain and surprisingly took me tons and tons of time, but i no longer
wish to ever take the easy route with things and just slap it all together
each piece was measured twice and cut once,
i was scratching my head for a while on where to put the filter,
if i put it right near the cooler going on that horizontal hose it would look good, but then it would not be
accessible unless you take the grille off.
then i realized it is accessible for maintenance on the other side of the grommet inside the engine bay.
and thats the best location for it.
i'm sure engineers come up with these ideas all of the time, but they would decide to put it behind the grille, so that
more time and labor is involved and things are less user serviceable. unfortunately this is what happens
with todays modern vehicles, but, well that didnt happen 40 years ago when this truck was built and it wont happen today on anything i own.

and this little guy here...
he will stand watch and make sure none of it gets clogged up with any debris, funny business, or gunk!

now that thats all set and done we move to the next phase.....
hehe.....
