Power brake and steering hose HELP !

Hey guys.. its been a while since I've been on. Life has been very hectic for some time. I'm out in the bush working right now and the hose between the brake booster and the power steering pump has blown. This has happened twice now where it rubs through on the shock tower. Anyways... I McGyver'd it back together and its holding pressure but I've got a lot of air in the system... Can someone tell me how to blead this air out ?????????

Thanks Russ

Turn the wheel back & forth lock to lock while pumping the brakes. It's a lot easier if you jack the front end off the ground. Keep a check on the fluid level so you don't end up pumping more air through the system.

Hey Russ, sometimes you need to cycle wheel all the way in one direction and shut the engine off, let set a couple minutes then do the other direction. Usually cycling the steering wheel and pumping brake pedal will work. As stated make sure your reservoir level stays full.

Thanks guys... I actually jacked it up before I left this am and all was quiet in the pump.. it seemed like after I drove it last night a bit and parked it.. the air worked its way out by itself. I did work the wheel back and forth while it was jacked up for a bit just to make sure all was well and it seems to be good. You should see the fix we did here at the ranch !!! welded the old fittings onto and new section of hose and all.. Now the brand new altenator that I put on 5 days ago is acting up... don't think I can Mcgyver that one !

Mark... I'll call ya when I get out !
