I would like to hear of a trusted shop if you find one.

Good luck Dan.

My son put a lift on his 93 F-150 and took it to Big O for an alignment. His tires were like this \ / when he dropped it off. I went to pick up and they were still like that. I questioned the manager and he told me they don't do the caster/camber, only the toe in/out on a front end alignment. I couldn't believe it. They wanted to charge my son $75.00 for adjusting the toe. He went and argued and got out of paying the $75. He explained to the tech how to do the alignment and then they were going to charge him $150 - $200 for the alignment. He still didin't get it aligned, I don't think he trusts them now.

I have a 97 F350 Dually, I changed a tie rod end, and Ted Weins seems to be the only place that can do a dually. I took it there and they told me that I needed both sides upper/lower ball joints, steering box and steering staberlizer before they could align it. All they wanted was 1,500.00 to fix it. That was a year ago.

Now I am not saying that either of these shops do bad work because they don't. I have had good experiences with both shops, I just didn't get any good feelings on the alignments. When I drop off my Truck for repair I like to feel confident theres not going to be and problems.

So if you find a shop you feel good with let me know so I can try to get mine aligned.

I asked our vehicle maintenance supervisor who they use for alignments and was told:
Sears for cars, they have a computer alignment machine that is hard to screw up!
Georges (876-1299) or Arrow (873-8622) for trucks.
Hope that helps.

I have always been done good at Les Shwab. They have always had good rates and if there is a problem with a component they will tell you about it.
