first on race day.... an first race today

i have a 77 f100 i am building into a hot rod it started as a 302 but i blew that up so i swapped in a 400 that has 9.5:1 bushed pin 351c pistons, 268 comp high energy cam, shaved/ported/polished heads, streetmaster intake, 600 double pumper, streetfire ign box, procomp hei dist & wires, headers, dynomax race bullets hooked on 2." exhuast with 3" dumps. thats what i got done right now i didnt build it my firend did but right now its hooked up to a granny 4 spd lol anyways i i've been tinkering with it my clutch has been slippin an my carb givin me problems. well guy at work has an 2010 chevy crew cab 2wd with a 5.3 an a 6spd auto. well we did a little race after work we estimated what we thought was near a 1/4 mile an did a street start bout 10mph. well i broke traction but not bad an my clutch slipped a hair i got bout half a car length then i hit 3rd an i pulled a full car length then hit 4th the clutch slipped he gained bout half a car length then the clutch quit slippin an i got bout 1 an half car lengths on him. i cant wait to save an get a toploader an a posi in it an get a new clutch he he then ill dust him. anyways i'm not braggin it just made me happy that the ole thing out ran him...but he's working on a 69 c10 with a 383 stroker. now maybe he'll wanna see who can lay down the most rubber next >
