Hi im a young kid who just bought a 1993 Ford F250 its a 7.3 liter diseal and thats about all i know i was wondering if anyone had any imformation about the trucks engin, and also i would like to build it to go offroading is there any ideas on how i could do this cost effectivly.

what kind of info are you looking for about the engine?we can tell you anything you want to know in here about these trucks.
as far as building it for off roading............well you want a dana60 out of an f350 but ill tell you what these trucks are not ideal for off roaders being the front end is so heavy

i run them in my offraod trucks and they work great! allot better then any carbbed engine dont let the idi scare you outa using it offroad
IDI is what we call these as they are INDIRECT INJECTION meaning they dont squirt fuel right into the combustion chamber instead squirt it into a precup..
NEVER run anything but BERU MOTORCRAFT glowplugs.
disable the glowplug controller and run a manual switch for longest life out of glowplugs.
clean grounds good and all battery connections..
never crank over 30 seconds our starters fry out pretty easily.
never run a fram oil filter if you can help it.
remove the soup bowl from the lid of the aircleaner to get better performance..
do yourself a favor and get a fuel injector line kit now.. then when the time comes you can easily replace them pesky lines that leak on top the engine.
those are some of the things.. keep looking around youll find more.
