its not that hard at all u will have to make new holes for back of cab change the bell hosing and frame mounts for the engine

I do not know how many I did this kind of work on in my younger days. The frame looks real bad. I would seriously take a long hard look at the whole frame and not just patch the one area. If the goal is a frame off resto.... start looking for parts now and put the rig in storage might be safer that way.

I broke a 72 frame due to rot while on the road... it wasn't pretty and there wasn't enoght left to haul home to fix.
