They have 4 threaded pins that are machined into the door surrounding. The other bolts are bling bling.

I have to agree with 11350KINGRANCH - I would rather keep the painted door and get some locking caps. I picked up a Stant 10510D locking cap for the diesel fuel (marked Diesel and green top), but have yet to find anything for a locking DEF cap except for a full size Volvo semi...

hmmm... I could see that with a black truck - I have the dark blue on order and the black might work ok there too, but the fake rivets are silver aren't they?

ok... so, a good choice if you're going for a chrome look then - I was going the opposite way, more smoke/black...

I am looking for a lock for the stock door. I think a lock like the ones on the basement doors, drill a hole for the lock and cut a slot for the lock blade....

That Stant 10510D cap fits your 2011 Super Duty? I checked on Amazon and it says that model does not fit a 2011, but there is a comment that it fits a 2008 Super Duty. I'm figuring that Ford probably did not change the cap and Amazon is wrong.

Well... my F-350 is still on order so I can't verify in person, but I according to the info on the Stant web site (Stant Manufacturing: Oil filler, Radiator & Gas Caps and Automotive Thermostats), this fits a 2011 F-350... I picked "Passenger Cars & Light Trucks", then "Ford", then "Super Duty Pickup", "2011"...

Although I cannot locate the Ford part number of the original fuel cap, there is a part interchange list on their site as well... Stant Part 10510

The 10510D part number ("D" for diesel and green top) isn't listed on their web site, but I spoke with someone at the company and he said that was a mistake and should be listed there as well - so it's out there in part land...

Thanks, Junior!

I trust Stant, and you, more than the info on Amazon.

Yeah - I tried using that "garage" feature on Amazon for parts listed elsewhere as compatible and it always said the part was NOT compatible... I'm thinking they haven't worked it all out yet...

I prefer a painted door as well. Anyone look into picking up an AMI fuel door and having it painted to match? I suppose the cost of having a shop do it will be dependent upon having it prepped for paint, and what the minimum amount of paint they'd have to buy to mix for the appropriate color.

The bad thing is....if you buy a cover and don't like it. Just take it off but you will out a few dollars.
