A little while ago someone backed into the front of my truck bending the piece of metal which is directly under the headlight (luckily my headlight is fine and my bumper is bent down a little). Just wondering what it is called, how to replace it, and approximately how much it will cost. Also my rear bumper is rusting out underneath and the chrome finish is flaking off and I cant get the dang bolts off. Would it be ok to use a sawzall that close to the rear tank with those sparks? Thanks, first thread for me I can take pics if wanted/needed.
I've used reciprocating saws on both my trucks...and never made any sparks...nothing compared to a grinder. Cut em off outside in the fresh air if you're worried about gas fumes.
oh...i forgot...about the front piece under your headlight....your best bet is to go to a scrapyard and take a look around. It's probably going to be harder to find it new.
Look for trucks being parted out on Craigslist. That's where I got mine for 20.00. Also look on Ebay, they are pretty cheap on there, i was going to go that route, til I found the one I got.
