Attn Edge Owners - U happy?

2 Edge's in the driveway, an '07 SEL AWD and a '10 SE FWD that we tow behind the class A. I love the looks, drive and the fact they are the best "snowplows" I have ever had. (Live in Central NY state and drove many an unplowed road in the winter with no problem. )
Besides the PTU issue that was fixed under warranty, the only big issue we have had so far is the driveshaft on the '07 has pressed in bearings that are held in place with rubber mounts. One of them tore, not a safety issue but the "thump, thump, thump" was so bad, you couldn't drive the car. To repair, you HAVE to purchase a new drive shaft ($970) as the bearing and mounts are part of the shaft. And they are on back order!.
Still, I would purchase another Edge if I had to. Ford has a winner here.

2012 Limited 2WD-3.5L--bought it with 004 miles--> has 39k now-85% highway 65-75mph. Averages around 25.6-26.5 mpg highway. 25.6=Summer 26.5=Winter
This is one of the better crossovers we have ever had. Not mechanical issues.
No Rattles-No Wind Noise-Very Comfortable Ride--We average 4 to 12 hour trips one way. The ride never leaves us wore out or tired.
So far the 2012 Edge has been a Winner. Really would like to drive one of the new Explorers with the eco-boost engine. Though I will always avoid the DI engine.

I know this is an old post, but could you (or anyone else how does this) give me some info on the steps you take towing the AWD Edge.
Thinking of replacing the wife's 01 Expy in the spring.
Looking to downsize to a Explorer, Edge or maybe a Toyota Venza.
Right now I tow a Wrangler, but when I saw you towed the Edge it got me thinking about towing the wife's rig instead.
Thanks for any info anyone can send my way on towing an Edge (or even Explorer?)!

Mom has a 2012 and loves it! not sure how many miles on it (pretty low). She thought the mileage would be a little better though. She just goes by the dash meter and is seeing 17mpg mostly putting around just outside Vegas.
I drove it a few times, it's pretty darn snappy! and handles beautifully.
