I am converting mine to 4x4 and I am to the point where I need to find/make driveshafts. I did not have a donor vehicle for this, I am piecing it together as I go. Is the rear driveshaft on this truck supposed to be 1-piece or 2-piece? My 4x2 had a 2-piece, just wanting to know what I am supposed to be looking for. Any advise as to what Ford put in this truck from the factory would be most helpful. TIA for your help.

 

Nobody? Maybe the driveshaft place has a book that will tell me?

 

one piece. id hit up a junkyaed and try to fimd the right one plus ince yours is 2wd you will need a 4x4 trans cross member for the trans

 

The driveshaft place made one up for me from an old shaft out of a '97 F150 and yoke from a '93 F250. It's a one-piece.

 

Wish I would have seen this earlier. I woulda given you mine since I'm getting new ones anyways. LOL. Did you get yours done at that place that used to be Austin Drivetrain?

 

What are you doing for a front shaft and are you stayin with the m5od?
