4r55e Transmission Problems

96 Ford Explorer 4.0l 4r55e Automatic 150k Rebuilt clutches and seals 45k ago. Here are the symptoms o/d light blinking, extreme flare in shift from 2-3,on extended or long drives shifts out of overdrive. Removed pan and found slightly discolored fluid and minor silver on the pan magnet.(no parts were replaced on the valve body at time of rebuild) any suggestions would be helpful

my 2001 ranger did the same thing but i didnt take the pan off it was a speed sensor got wet it was raining that day ran codes while it was doing it went to parts got one off shelf put it on been fine so far
