Early 99 coolant question

Alright so I am doing my oil cooler rebuild.
I read the how to here on FTE and thought nice take out the block heater and drain the drivers side of the block. Well I took it out and holy hell guess I did not realize the extent of how much was going to come out.
Here is the question. If I remember right it is not a good idea to use the elc in my early 99. I did some searching on here but cold not find the thread. The wife was going to town so I told here to pick me up 3 gallons of none ELC. well she just calls and tells me that they are alll extended life and she can not find any regular. What do I need to go get tomorrow?
Thanks

Joe, you are correct on not using ELC on e99's BUT I have used Delo ELC on my e99 for a number of years (4 years, about 40K miles) with no problems to date...I just jinxed myself, I know . Here is the link to more than you ever want to know about the coolant swap in our trucks

I just get the normal green Prestone, but you have to get the coolant test strips and the additive to make sure it does eat the block. The additive I get is called NAPA Kool. I think I have some part numbers. Coolant strips are NAPA #4106, and the additive is NAPA #4058.

The ELC eats the adhesive that holds the injector cups in place. That is why not to use it.

I was thinking about the cup replacement myself, but decided I will wait and see if I get started on this spare motor this winter. Plans for bigger everything so as long as it is running now I will throw money at the other motor.
