I just noticed today that I'm under half as well. Not sure when I got there but I have about 2400 miles on the odo now, and I'd estimate 700 miles towing.
Time to phone around to see what the DEF prices are like locally.

Or do what I did and do a search for a pilot station close that has DEF at the pump,I think I paid around 2.79/gal.
Unfortunately we don't have Pilot stations in this part of the world, and next time I go near one, or a Flying J, we're going to be on a 22-hour towing run and I'm not going to want to stop any longer than necessary.
So for this first go-round I think I'll have to hit Canadian Tire ($23 for 2.5 US gallons but I have enough Canadian Tire Money to get it for free), the dealer, or another local source. I'm leaning towards the dealer right now, although I haven't checked their prices, just to get the proper pouring spout everyone seems to like.
