I wish I had taken more pictures or videos of other things I have done I have some on facebook but cant seem to figure out how to post them. i will try to get a picture next time i put 2.5 tons of crusher run in the bed...the guy who loads me always cringes when he dumps it in there but he drives a chevy so he doesn't understand haha
That's how I use to do it before I got a gooseneck. Makes for some rough days

Heres mine. About the most work it sees other than hauling about 3K worth of batteries in the back of the bed twice a week to take them to the recycling plant.

I agree but you can still move 9 bales pretty easy with just a tagalong

I know... but you pull a gooseneck once (I have) and you NEVER wanna put yourself through the agony of a bumper pull again!

yeap i know but sometime ya gotta make due with what ya have...although there have been some real good deals on trailers latly

Well, I don't have either one so, I can kinda pick and choose with this one. It's getting to where we need more feed than can be carried in my bed and getting it more often won't be worth it price-wise.

well I can tell ya that our little flatbed trailer has been great. probably one of the best investments we have got in a while, although I do now wish I got a goose neck so if you do get one I would recommend going with a bigger gooseneck instead of a smaller tag along.

Yeah, I think a 30' goose would be nice... the 24' would max out what Ford says is enough, but the longer trailer would lend itself to large bulky items like hay bales. Plus, I really wouldn't worry about loading my truck down a bit more than Ford says... just not yet!

yes I agree there is a huge margin between what ford says these trucks should do and what they can actually do..... especially if you add air bags haha. two and a half tons of gravel in the bed no problem haha

After upgrading to my wider wheels, heavy loads aren't as shifty. I went from 3K to 2500lbs because it was too shifty. When I went to the 10" rims, it made the ride a TON more stable! I could do 3K easy... I might be able to do 4K, but any more than that that would push my sterling over the 7K limit, though. Someday, I may put 350 axles under the truck...
