Last fill up I drove 582 miles and put 22gallons of diesel... I'll let y'all do the math.

Is nobody else seeing this good?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys I have this tune with just the hot setting. Havent gotten the Hot Damn yet. I have a 2008 6.4 srw 3.73 short bed. Tires Open country at 20 inch 295's. I also did the DPF and have a S&B cold air intake. I am thinking about doing the Down pipe next. I get on my LoM up to 40 Mid tank. Now with that being said I am only really seeing Hand Cal around 17 at the very best. I drive this thing like a dead old lady not even a punch or two. Most of my driving is on the hwy. Is there anyway to get the LoM a little more accurate. In town I am getting closer to 14-15. I hope that this helps. I know that I would love some advice on the LoM problem. I love the Tuner though and would suggest it if you are doing a lot of hwy driving.

I put the mini, dpf/cat delete and s&b cai on 2 days ago. Need to do a fill up and hand check but the mpg lie-o-meter was climbing in cruise like I couldn't believe. This is on an 08 250 lariat crew 4wd. I'm anxious to fill up and hand calc. I know my mpg meter on the truck was at least 1 mpg off which made actual even worse. And the truck runs awesome. Running the "mild" setting as I'm really not trying to race the thing. "wild" is a kick though.

Almost everybody who tunes their 6.4 tells us about the great mileage increase on the LOM. Then they hand calulate and report back a 2 to 3 actual gain. which at $4 a gallon is still a nice increase.

25 mpg? No way. However, I have been reading that the mini maxx is the way to go now. Spartan used to be the popular vote but now its the mini maxx. Only negative I have read about is apparently Spartan claims to practically invisible to the dealer, where H&S has admitted they arent any trickier than any other tuner when it comes to dealer visibility.

I've ran two tanks since last post, 1) empty mostly town 496 miles 19.38 gallons. 2)empty all highway cruising 75, 421 miles on 15.94 gallons.

Is your speedometer/odometer calibrated for the 37's? Are you reading kilometers instead of miles? You are 10mpg better than most and even more than that for a large percentage of others. Something is different or else you have the greatest 6.4 ever built.

all I can say is WOW!!.. never seen this before, ever!

Now, I am trying to make sense of the data.. only speculating on things that get into the reasonable logic area..

but IF your odometer was set to Kilometers but you are buying fuel in US gallons, 16mpg would be 516 KM for 19.38 gallons and 425 KM for 15.94 gallons
this seems in the reasonable/understandable range..
and the original "Last fill up I drove 582 miles and put 22gallons of diesel... I'll let y'all do the math." would 'make sense' if 582 was KM... 15.87 mpg.

so I suspect your odometer is set in kilometers..
do this

Setup menu

Press and hold the SELECT/RESET
control switch to get into the
SETUP MENU sequence from the
INFO MENU for the following
displays:
  • Units (English/Metric)
  • Language
  • Reset to English (if in another language) (see Note below)

Units (English/Metric)
  1. Select this function from the SETUP MENU for the current units to be displayed.
  2. Press and hold the SELECT/RESET control switch to change from English to Metric.
  3. Press the SELECT/RESET control switch for the next SETUP MENU
item or wait for more than 4 seconds to return to the INFO MENU.

ok, trust you.. but it makes no sense.. congrats tho.. you are THE ONLY one thats ever gotten these kinds of results..

note that speedo shows both at the same time, while odometer only shows one or the other. so your calibration and radar check can be perfectly accurate and the odometer can still be set wrong.

you have to understand the skepticism. IF you and I both owned mustang GT's and got on a forum where me and all the other mustang owners were making 350 hp or less that would appear to be the normal range. If you went to a dyno and said you made 500 hp nobody would believe that you had an all stock mustang. Maybe not impossible but its enough difference to make everyone skeptical.

So back to the original point of this thread. Im glad to hear that the Mini Maxx is meeting your expectations. My truck gets 12 mpg going downhill with a tail wind so if the mini maxx got me to 15-16 that would be a significant improvement, not to mention the power boost.

How is your throttle response from a dead stop. Besides the mileage, that dangerous delay is my biggest gripe about these trucks.

Could it be that you are calculating in Imperial gallons and not US gallons?
If so US gallons would look like this: Around town 496 miles and 23.27 gallons (21.3 mpg) and highway 421 miles 19.14 gallons (21.99 mpg)

Just a thought.
