Truck Doesn't Get Power From Battery

Hey all, I have a 95 F150 XLT 4x4 w/ E4OD. Lately, my truck has been on and off with this problem I'm having. When I go to start it, it has no battery power, where I know the battery and cables to my battery are good. As of the past few days, I'll get a little bit of juice when I turn my key to start, but when I go to ignition, I hear the starter click then I immediately lose power. I have noticed that when I put the truck in neutral, then briskly put it back into park, that sometimes this does the trick and gets me juice from the battery. Another thing that I've done, is to put the truck into neutral and roll it back a few feet, and this can solve the problem, or maybe its just coincidence I dont know. I'm stumped on this one, electronics in vehicles are not my forte, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ethan

check any plugs related to anyting, i've also seen similar things when the starters ground is kinda bad and just needs to be "jiggled" a bit, check all that, and i would also check your starter solenoid

My truck was doing the same thing, bottom line result, i had a bad battery. Before you go and replacing things, check the essentials, make sure all wire connections are cleaned, from battery to solenoid to starter and so on, make sure grounds are good, and then go to autozone or wherever and have them do a battery scan see what the problem is, they'll be able to tell you if your battery is bad and such. They told me my battery was bad, replaced it with a Diehard one and I have never had to get a jump, or anything, even in freezing weather. ^_^

i had a friend that was having this issue a few years ago. it turned out that his ignition switch was bad so instead of spending the money to put a new one in he wired everything to switches and put a push button start in. i would check the battery 1st myself then move from there
