Leather conditioner king ranch seats.

Hey guys my 2007 king ranch seats are fading. Truck has 30k on it, and the interior looks like its all worn out. What do you guys use for conditioner?

I use Lexol leather conditioner. The kind in a spray bottle...I have been using it now for about a year, and treat the leather every 3 mths or so.. There are lots that won't use saddle conditioners and lots that will..It barely darkened my leather. And it looks soooo much better.Actually I was hoping it would darken it more where the sun had faded it..

king ranch seats

For the King Ranch seats, try some shoe polish that matches the interior color. Wipe it on and make sure that you buff it off completly or it make get on you butt when you sit in the seat. It will help on the big scratches. As for the smaller or lighter scratches, try some Mink Oil.

It depends on what formula you are using. You also have to be careful that you aren't using just the "cleaner" formula as well. That won't help much in the long run.

I personally use Neatsfoot Oil, which is the same thing that I use for my saddles(3 out of the 5 are also KR saddles, it pays to know the master saddle maker there). There is a darkening and non-darkening formula. It really just depends on you.

I will say this though, the darkening tends to be more "penetrating" then the non-darkening(which stands to reason when you think about it) formula and if you use the non-darkening I wuld suggest conditioning more then if you were using the darkening formula.

I ordered my Leather Care from this site below. This is the actual dye for our King Ranch Seats. Along with the dye, Order a bottle of Leather Conditioner to maintain...

Aniline Leather Color - Ford King Ranch

This YouTube video will help also. The bottle of conditioner he is using in the video looks like he has premixed with a little of the dye.

Tex25025; Yes it is the conditioner only.I use saddle soap for the cleaning.. I use it on my sadddles and bridles too, especially my old favorite Fred Muller saddle... I don't like the neatsfoot formula they sell around here, but it has been a while since I looked at them on the shelf...Didn't know King Ranch made saddles, very interesting.

Yep and they are custom made to order. Thing that I really like about them is that they put a metal plate in all of their saddles, not just the ropers. I had a cutting horse saddle made about 11 yrs ago that has the metal "strainer" in there and that is the one thing that they put in their saddles that sets them apart from the other makers. Makes it more durable especially, but even that cutting saddle could handle a rope, just not too heavy of a cow like a true roping saddle could(for obvious reasons).

Krisx125,

this is the leather protection cream that can be used to mix with the dye for general maintenance of the seats. This product is from the same website as posted in #6.
