Any suggestions for a aftermarket C6 pan?
So now that I have my latest project running the pan started to leak on my C6. I am not a fan of the stock pans and would like to upgrade to something with a drain plug and maybe a higher capacity. The last 2 I tried I wasnt impressed with but they were many years ago and I dont remember what they were. Has anybody bought one and been impressed by it? If so what pan was it? I want to order something monday.

I used the TCI pan and it works good EXCEPT notice where the drain plug is. on my 77 chassis the drain plug was covered by the rear crossmember. do drain it you had to unbolt the trains and jack it up by the the tcase to get enough clearence to get a wrench in there and it still drained on the cross member.
I was always going to notch the crossmember or cut a hole in it but never did.

tranny pan!
hughes performance makes a good pan for your application. Been running mine for about 15 years now on two different tranny's. heavy aluminum build and ribbed also. Been a trooper as far as I can tell. Been happy with hughes performance stuff over the years. www.hughesperformance.com. I've had problems with TCI over the past couple yrs and pretty much quit them. Used to be really good but maybe my luck has run out. hughes has been really good on the tech for my application. 472 big block and c-6 hughes converter and tci low gear kit 4wd 1977 ford. also ran a 525" c-6 with lowgear kit with hughes parts also 77ford 4wd. This motor/tranny is out now but never had a issue with tranny, hughes converter, custom build on both converters. drop a message if needing any info.

I have a B&M pan on my 84 F250 Diesel. I have to say I am quite diasppointed in it. I had the trim the tranny crossmember for clearance, it no longer uses a stock C6 filter... special order from B&M only. The hex head bolts that came with it suck because they are located in so close the the inside of the pan you can barely get a socket on them. I ended up replacing them with stainless allen head cap screws. For what it's worth I'm not a fan of B&M pans.
