crazyredneckanyhow- are you going to fully weld that hood vent onto the hood, or are you just going to tack every inch or so and use a small amount of filler to fill the seams?

Its fully welded. I spent three years in what was supposed to be a collision repair class. Turns out the teach was a old hotrod dude so i spent three years learning how to do body mods. It took awhile to weld up but id just do a little and let it set when i didnt have anything else to do. Ive got it ground down but ill still counter sink it and use a light coat of filler.

Man I love the old 700 series scoop. I'm planning on one for my f-250, I am running a 460 with about 475 horsepower. I live in Arizona, and under the hood is super hot. I think a scoop would be an excellent addition how about the plumbing for it? The engine will shake so some kind of flexible plenum, maybe heavy duty foam to seal between the scoop and the intake?
