Wellman glow plugs?

Has anybody used the Wellman/Diesel Rx glow plugs? They claim they are hotter and quicker than the OEM and the ZD11 (Motorcraft) plugs. They also say the tips will not swell like cheaper brands. Please advise.

I am using Diesel RX/Wellman and I find starting to be much easier since I installed them. The ones I took our were working, but had been in for 6 years, and I didn't want any problems this winter. I did some research before I bought them and am glad I did. One cycle of the glow plugs and it fires right up at 25* and the smoke clears up faster.

I replaced my OEM GP's with the Wellman replacements when I replaced my injectors a couple of yrs ago. They have working great with no start up issues. Here is some info on them and its design is the reason why I chose them. Single and Dual Coil Glow Plugs - New & Replacement Glow Plugs for Diesel Engines

I went with the ZD-11s a couple of years ago because AutoZone was mistakenly selling them for a penny a piece. Couldn't pass up a bargasin like that. Remember that one Guys. 9 cents for a sent of 8. There was a penny tax.

My next GP change will be to the WAP 138.

I missed out on that deal. IIRC, I got the WAP's for around $65 w/ the shipping.

Wellman Auto Products now calls itself simply WAP and 138 is the part number of their GPs that fit the 7.3.

Thanks for the info on the WAP plugs. I bought them by mistake; thought I was getting the ZD11's from eBay (my fault). Since I have them and it seems as though the research looks positive, I'll install them and keep everyone posted as to the results.
