I am FINALLY getting around to installing my RAS on my stock 05 Excursion. I ordered replacement ubolts and received them as part number f81Z-5705-BB. Trouble is, they are about 2" longer than the stock ubolts. Did I get the wrong ubolts? Will these work? I am concerned that the exta bolt length will hit something up top.
Just cut them with a sawzall to the length you want.

Hey tinkerer,
Although I haven't actually done this, I "think" you should put the
nuts on FIRST then cut off the bolts to length. Then back-off the nuts
to clean up the threads. If you cut the bolts first, it's sometimes
tough to start the nuts.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't assume that was a "given."
Install first to make sure you know the correct length to cut off.
